Creating stories and novels is an amazing talent. The written word is powerful and it has the ability to shape views, change opinions, entertain, inspire, and even irritate. Creative writing draws from the depths of the writer, taking the best and molding language into an irresistible creation. Focus of this course includes: 1. Understanding of concepts associated with writing 2. Grammar, punctuation, and formatting 3. Research, ideas, note taking 4. Outlines 5. Rough drafts 6. Final project The goals of this course it to teach students to write creatively, to hone skills, and to gain the knowledge necessary to take writing to the next level: writing for profit.
